Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the RideTales website and application.
RideTales is a trading name operated by Miha Svet, trgovina z izdelki za kulturo, šport in zabavo, s.p., with its registered office at AJPES Ljubljana, Slovenia, governed by the laws of Slovenia and European Union (EU).
By accessing or using RideTales, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Description of the Service
RideTales is an online service that allows users to create personalized printed books based on their cycling activities.
The service connects to a user's Strava account in order to import activity data and generate book content including ride statistics, maps, and photos.
Users can review and edit the generated content before ordering a printed book.
2. User Accounts
To use RideTales, users must authenticate through their Strava account.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account and for all activities that occur under their account.
RideTales reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service.
3. User Content
Users may add personal content to their books, including titles, notes, captions, and images.
Users retain ownership of the content they provide.
By using the service, users grant RideTales permission to process and display this content solely for the purpose of generating and producing their personalized book.
Users are responsible for ensuring that the content they provide does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
RideTales reserves the right to remove content that is unlawful, offensive, or inappropriate.
4. Book Creation and Orders
RideTales allows users to generate book layouts based on their activity data.
Users can review and customize the generated content before placing an order.
Printed books are produced and shipped by third-party printing and fulfillment partners.
RideTales does not guarantee specific delivery dates but aims to process and ship orders as quickly as possible.
5. Payments
Payments for books are processed through third-party payment providers.
RideTales does not store full payment card details.
Prices, taxes, and shipping costs will be displayed during the checkout process.
6. Refunds and Replacements
Personalised Books
Each RideTales book is created specifically for the customer using their selected cycling activities, photographs, text, and personalisation choices.
Because RideTales books are personalised products made to the customer’s specifications, the statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days does not apply, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This does not affect your legal rights if your book arrives damaged, contains a production defect, or does not correspond to your confirmed order.
Changes and Cancellations
If you would like to change or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@ridetales.cc.
We will always do our best to help. Changes or cancellations are normally possible while the order has not yet entered production.
Once production has started, we may no longer be able to change or cancel the order because your book is being produced specifically for you. However, we will review each request individually and try to find a reasonable solution whenever possible.
Reviewing Your Book
Before placing your order, you will have the opportunity to review and personalise your book.
Please check the content, photographs, captions, spelling, layout, selected options, and delivery details carefully before confirming your order.
We cannot normally offer a free replacement for mistakes that were visible in the approved book preview, such as customer-entered spelling errors, selected photographs, captions, or cropping choices.
Minor variations between the digital preview and the printed book may occur because of differences in screens, printing processes, paper, colour reproduction, and trimming. These small variations are a normal part of printed production and are not considered defects.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Books
If your book arrives damaged, contains a printing or production defect, or does not correspond to your confirmed order, please contact us at info@ridetales.cc.
Please include your order number, a short description of the issue, and photographs where possible.
We will review the issue and work with you to find an appropriate solution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
a corrected reprint or replacement;
a partial refund; or
a full refund.
Where possible, our preferred solution is to provide a corrected replacement at no additional cost.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
Lost or Delayed Shipments
Delivery dates are estimates and may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our control.
If your order appears to be significantly delayed or lost, please contact us at info@ridetales.cc. We will investigate the shipment with our printing and delivery partners and work with you to find an appropriate solution.
If a shipment is confirmed as lost, we will normally offer a replacement or refund.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If an order cannot be delivered because the address provided was incorrect or incomplete, we will still do our best to help, although additional printing or delivery costs may apply.
7. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to:
misuse the RideTales service
attempt to interfere with the platform or its security
upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content
violate applicable laws while using the service
RideTales reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in misuse of the service.
8. Limitation of Liability
RideTales is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
While we strive to provide a reliable service, we do not guarantee that the platform will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
RideTales is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the service.
9. Changes to the Service
RideTales may modify, update, or improve the service at any time.
We may also update these Terms and Conditions periodically. The latest version will always be available on this page.
